It is believed locally that the tower was built by William Marshal for Aoife.

Used to be owned by John Thomas Coghill around 1816.

Castle Morres is a ruined castle in Kilkenny dating from 1751.

extents of the ruin measure about 10x10m with a wall thickness of 1.14 m. One window and one corbel stone in northern wall remain (survey 2021-06-22)

Granagh / 'Granny Castle' tower house and bawn

Ruins of a castle with few walls remaining. Walls on river side have openings to shoot through, most of them triangular in shape on the outside of the castle wall. Most stones were rebuilt into surrounding buildings.
