What Tarnoo is

Tarnoo is a free outdoor route planner for hiking, running, cycling, gravel, mountain biking, road cycling and e-biking. The service is under active development. Features may change or disappear.

Safety outdoors — please read

Routes are calculated automatically from OpenStreetMap data. That data is made by volunteers and can be incomplete, outdated or wrong.

You remain responsible for your own safety. Review a route before you set off, account for your own fitness and experience, respect closures, access rules and protected areas, and carry suitable equipment. Never rely on a single source while you are out.

Your account

Your content

Routes, photos, tips and comments you post remain yours. By posting them you allow Tarnoo to display and process them as far as needed to run the service — for example showing a public route on a route page or in search results.

If you set something to public, it really is public: visible to anyone and findable through search engines. You can change a route's visibility or delete it at any time.

Only post content that is yours or that you are allowed to share. Nothing unlawful, abusive, misleading or infringing.

What is not allowed

Map data and export

Map and route data come from OpenStreetMap and are covered by the ODbL licence. If you export your data (GPX, TCX, FIT) and publish it further, that licence applies.

No warranty

The service is provided as is. We do our best, but we cannot guarantee that Tarnoo is always available, error-free or fully accurate. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for damage arising from use of the service, including damage during or after a trip.

This limitation does not apply to intent or wilful recklessness on our part, and does not affect your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time through your profile → Account.
