La stele è stata progettata e costruita dall’ingegnere e artista Vicentino Michetti nel 1963. L’opera è stata realizzata in cemento armato ed è ornata da bassorilievi che si ispirano alle vicende della vita di d’Annunzio e alle sue opere più famose.
