The Johanniterkommende in the Swiss canton of Lucerne is the order-castle of the former Commandery of the Knights of St. John, founded in 1180, with a church from 1693 and the residential tower "Roten" from around 1250. The commandery was dissolved in 1806, and the complex has served as a cantonal school for special education since 1847.
